Borohydride Hydrogen Generation (BHG)

Sodium borohydride (NaBH4), one of the highest hydrogen containing material, can generate H2 via hydrolysis using our unique fluorinated catalyst of low-cost material.

BHG Reactor
BH4- + 2H2 BO2- + 4H2

Reaction:

Fuel from the upper side of catalyst bed
High catalyst/fuel ratio
quick catalyst heating
generated by NaBH4 hydrolysis
Quick separation of spent fuel from catalyst
prevent NaBO2 deposit

Borohydride Hydrolysis Catalyst
Hydrolysis:

Our patented fluorination technique makes out of a plane catalyst surface a complicated one. The created nano structure which covers the surface causes a higher surface area. The Nano structure and the active nickel species (also generated by fluorination) show a very high activity for the hydrolysis of sodium borohydride.
